Basis Tracking Manual calculation required Maintained year-over-year
Deadline Management Easy to miss March 15th Reminders & Extension filing included

S-Corp Filing Questions

What is the deadline for S-Corp taxes?

S-Corps (Form 1120-S) are due March 15th, which is one month earlier than personal taxes. We can file a 6-month extension to September 15th if needed.

Do I have to run payroll for myself?

Yes. The IRS requires S-Corp shareholder-employees to pay themselves a “reasonable salary” subject to FICA taxes. We help you determine this number to stay compliant.

Can you handle my personal return (1040) too?

Absolutely. Most of our S-Corp clients have us prepare both their business return and their personal return to ensure the K-1 data flows correctly.

I missed the S-Corp election deadline. Can you help?

Yes. In many cases, we can file for “Late Election Relief” (Rev. Proc. 2013-30) along with your tax return to retroactively activate your S-Corp status.
