Getting Started & The Process
How does the 100% online process actually work?
It is designed for efficiency and security. First, you create your secure account. Second, you upload your tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, etc.) directly to our encrypted portal. We then prepare your return, reviewing it for every possible deduction. Finally, you receive a video walkthrough of your results, sign electronically, and we file for you.
Do I need to book an appointment to file my taxes?
No, an appointment is not required to start or finish your return. Most clients prefer our asynchronous process because it saves them hours of travel and meeting time. However, if you have specific concerns, you can always book a consultation call to speak with a pro.
What if I don’t have all my documents ready yet?
That is completely fine. We recommend creating your portal account now to reserve your spot in our queue. You can upload documents as they arrive. We will not begin the formal preparation until you confirm your file is complete, but getting into the system early ensures you don’t miss our client cap.
Pricing & Fees
Why do you use flat fees instead of hourly billing?
We believe you should never be surprised by a tax bill. Hourly billing penalizes efficiency and makes budgeting impossible. By reviewing your situation upfront, we provide a guaranteed flat-fee quote before we start any work. You will know exactly what the investment is before you commit.
When is payment due?
We send the invoice only after we have reviewed your documents and provided your quote, but before we release the final draft of the tax return. This ensures we are aligned on the scope of work before we finalize your filing.
Does the fee include state returns?
Yes. Our comprehensive business and personal packages typically include your federal return and one state return. If you have a complex multi-state situation (e.g., rental properties in different states or remote employees), we will include any additional state filing fees in your upfront quote.

I have a mix of W-2 wages and 1099 freelance income. Can you handle that?
